The dog was taken to the hospital with an ambulance…

An exhausted dog came into the turnstile area of ITU-Ayazaga metro station and laid on the floor. The incident drew the attention of metro staff and they called a medical team to take care of the sick dog. Medical team took care of the dog and took it to a hospital with an ambulance.

An unattended dog came into the turnstile area of ITU-Ayazaga Station of M2 Yenikapi-Haciosman Metro Line using the escalators at the plaza entrance on 19th November 2019 Tuesday around 19:00. The dog went towards a wall and laid on the floor. Security staff Mecit Cevik noticed that the dog was so exhausted that it could not even move so he reported the incident to the Station Directorship. Station Director Muammer Isikli called the command centre and requested that AKOM (Disaster Coordination Centre) should communicated immediately and a veterinarian should be asked for treatment.

It did not eat or drink anything…
Metro Istanbul staff brought food and drink to the dog but the do was so exhausted that he could not eat or drink. Metro Istanbul staff closed the vicinity with folding screens so the dog could rest until the veterinarian comes for treatment. Sultangazi Cebeci Animal Hospital Units arrived at the station at 20:25 and checked on the dog.

Medical units indicated that the dog should be taken to a hospital for a detailed examination and carried the dog to animal ambulance with a stretcher. Medical units took the dog to Cebeci Animal Hospital so the dog can go through necessary examinations. The dog got healthy again after the treatment and delivered back to Ayazaga region the next day.
