Travel Cards
Free and discounted travel card arrangements are carried out by IETT, according to the legislation determined by the Ministry of Family and Social Policies and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In accordance with the relevant legislation, people who can benefit from Metro Istanbul’s services free of charge or at a discounted tariff can pass through turnstiles by having their cards issued in their names.
“Discounted and Free Pass” holders must show their valid ID cards along with their free travel cards, if requested by the security guards or station staff at the metro stations.
