It is forbidden to take photos or pictures and to shoot videos without permission at metro and tram stations. In such activities that are carried out without permission, Metro Istanbul security guards may ask the person or persons about the permission documents. For commercial shootings such as commercials, promotions, movies or TV series at stations, platforms and vehicles, you can contact Trade Directorate at info@metro.istanbul or you can call 0212 568 9970. You can send an e-mail to info@metro.istanbul or contact Brand and Customer Services Directorate for filming permits with video recording tools such as all kinds of cameras, video and photograph recording devices for making news, documentaries or short films that are desired to be shot at stations, platforms and vehicles.

The figures on the first column in timetables show the hours; and the figures on the line to the right of the hour space show the minutes showing the headway during that time range. From a timetable showing 08.00 - 05 - 10 - 15 - 20, we can understand that trains leave at 05, 10, 15 and 20 past 08 am.

You can travel on Metro İstanbul rail transit network using İstanbulkart. This card can be obtained by making a down payment at Biletmatik ticket-vending machines at the stations, where you can also upload credits.

Rail system network announcements will tell you where and how to change. Route maps located above the doors of the vehicles and the network maps inside the vehicles also indicate the transfer points and the systems that you can transfer to.

You can go to TT Arena Stadium by changing at M2 Yenikapı - Hacıosman Metro Line Sanayi Mahallesi Station and taking the Seyrantepe train.

The first service of Metro Istanbul (may vary depending on the lines) starts at 06.00 and the service ends at 00.00 on all lines.

There are no trains due to the works that have to be carried out on the rail system networks and on the rolling stock and because there are no sufficient passengers.

Extra arrangements (cancellation, extension of time etc.) made on the services are published on the website and social media accounts of Metro Istanbul. You can also get information from www.ibb.gov.tr and Alo 153 Call Centre Hot Line.

Animals are not allowed in the stations or trains, except for: Guide dogs accompanying the visually impaired passengers, small cage animals provided that they are carried in cages. Predators, poisonous animals, reptile species and bird species that can be used as game animals and may harm other passengers when released in any way are excluded from this scope and are not accepted into the system. It is not possible to travel with dogs that are too large to fit in the cage. Accompanying persons of the animals that are accepted into stations and vehicles in accordance with these rules are responsible for these animals. It should not be forgotten that these people will be held responsible for any behaviour that may disrupt the business by getting free of the cage or the control of the owner and endangering the safety and security measures.

Our passengers can travel with their foldable bicycles during operating hours and passengers with non-folding bicycles can travel in the last car of the train except peak hours (07.00-09.00 / 17.00-20.00) without paying an extra charge.

Passengers who want to travel with items weighing more than 30 kg or their dimensions are greater than 120 * 50 * 60 cm are required to enter the system except the peak hours (07:00-10:00 or 17:00-20:00) and pay an extra 1 pass for their belongings.

Our vehicles are cleaned and disinfected daily after the end of their service. Sometimes, pollution can occur instantly due to factors such as the flow of liquid substances from the goods carried by our passengers. Upon our passengers or staff notifying the vehicle, the vehicle is cleaned before the end of the service.

Screen Doors are deployed at Seyrantepe station of M2 Yenikapi Haciosman Line, stations of M5 Uskudar-Cekmekoy Metro Line and F1 Taksim-Kabatas Funicular Line. Screen doors will be used in newly constructed lines.

Our passengers can subscribe to the system at www.metro.istanbul and select the line and station they want to check the failure status, and receive notification about malfunctions on the day and time they want via SMS or e-mail.

As Metro Istanbul, the regulations for 24-hour services were arranged to cover Friday, Saturday and public holidays in 7 metro lines in line with passenger density and incoming requests. As of Friday, 30 August 2019, 7 metro lines (M1A, M1B, M2, M4, M5, M6 and M7) have started to provide service for 24 hours a day with 30-minute frequency, covering Friday, Saturday and Public Holidays.

As of 30 August 2019, 7 metro lines operated by Metro Istanbul (M1A, M1B, M2, M4, M5, M6 and M7) provide 24 hours service with a 20-minute frequency covering Friday, Saturday and Public Holidays. Due to the fact that the maintenance and repair plans of our lines operating at night on weekends and public holidays are included in the week and there is not enough passenger density, they cannot provide services for 24 hours on weekdays.
