Security block to Unregistered Firearm at Metro Station

Security guards at Yamanevler Station detected two people who are trying to get on the metro with unregistered firearm and bullets. Passengers who got caught on X-Ray detector are turned over to police teams.

Two people with unregistered firearm got caught as a result of detailed and attentive efforts of Metro Istanbul staff. 

V.C. and S.C. were carrying a plastic bag and went through an X-Ray detector in Yamanevler Station of M5 Uskudar–Cekmekoy Metro Line on 3rd November Sunday at 17:55. Detector notified the security guards with high alert and they quickly responded to the incident.

As a result of the security check, security guard detected an unregistered firearm and bullets in passengers’ bag and notified the special units at the station about the incident. V.C and S.C were turned over to the police teams of Atakent Police Station afterwards.
