Metro Istanbul awaits its new train drivers…

Metro İstanbul is going to recruit new train drivers to its team.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Affiliate Metro Istanbul is Turkey’s biggest urban rail systems operator and its enhancing staff quality. Metro Istanbul employs 2,690 people and provides transportation services to more than 2 million people every day with 844 vehicles in 13 different lines with 158 stations and its network covers 154, 25 km.

Supporting Women Employment…
Metro Istanbul is providing safe, secure and comfortable services to the people of Istanbul with 614 train drivers, 70 Automated Trains and emergency action staff. Metro Istanbul aiming to increase its train driver capacity especially with women to support women employment.

Candidates who would like to take part in urban rail systems such as metro and trams can apply for the available positions at kariyer.ibb.istanbul. Candidates who become successful at the evaluation process are going to join Train Driver Training Programme. Candidates who complete the training with success after 4 months of theoretical and technical training will be eligible to get their badges.

Requirements for applicants are below:
•    Graduation from Electric-Electronic, Automotive, Engine, Information Technologies, Computer Sciences, Rail Systems, Mechatronic, Automation and Machine departments of Technical High Schools or Vocational High Schools that provide formal training,
•    Having type B driving licence and psychotechnics certificate
•    Completion of compulsory military service for male candidates,
•    Being free to work with shifts,
•    Living in the European Side.
