Metro Istanbul Staff Found The Mobile Phone That Was Lost For 22 Days
Metro Istanbul found a mobile phone that was lost for 22 days. Metro Istanbul staff investigated security camera recordings and identified the person who stole the mobile phone. Metro Istanbul staff saw the thief at another station, informed the police about the situation, and created an opportunity for police forces to catch the thief.
A passenger went to Cekmekoy Station Directorship of M5 Uskudar-Cekmekoy Metro Line on Saturday 27 December 2019 to inform that he forgot his mobile phone in the vehicle. Metro Istanbul staff investigated the incident, went through the camera recordings, and found out that an old female passenger took the phone.

Metro Istanbul staff noticed that the person who took the phone was waiting for the train at Uskudar station on 18 January 2020 while they were doing routine camera recordings check. Metro Istanbul compared the old recordings to find out if it is the same person and found out that they had a match then alerted the patrol officers to monitor the person in the vehicle. Station security staff and patrol officers stopped the thief at turnstile area after he got off the vehicle at Umraniye Station and took him to the Station Directorship.
