“Our doors are always open to sports events and athletes.”
Ozgur Soy, General Manager of Metro Istanbul, reminded that they always support active life, sports and athletes and said, “Metros are considered the life veins of Istanbul. For this reason, we are involved in every field that touches the lives of the people of this city. Sports is one of these fields. In the tournament, which was held for the second time this year at our Yenisahra Metro Station, we watched impressive performances from our 433 athletes in the powerlifting area for 9 days. It is pleasing that the number of athletes, which was 300 last year, has increased to 433 this year, and the number of female athletes to 34 from 25. I congratulate all our athletes who competed in the tournament. We want this activity to continue in order to make our metro livelier. Metro areas are public areas, so our doors are always open to all sports branches and to our athletes, as it is to everyone.
