Metro Istanbul's target in the 2nd century of the Republic is high technology
Metro Istanbul, pioneering technological advancements in the sector, is developing various projects to enhance passenger comfort and improve maintenance processes. Focused on digital transformation in its future vision, Metro Istanbul continues its digital journey in line with passengers' changing behaviors and needs. Through a total of 232 digital information panels across 120 stations, passengers have access to standard information such as announcements and news, as well as the ability to plan their travels online. With over 18,000 QR codes placed in stations and vehicles, it allows passengers to relay their suggestions, requests, and complaints more quickly and in detail. By digitizing the lost and found processes, Metro Istanbul provides a system through its 153 Solution Centers for real-time tracking of lost items. Furthermore, it offers passengers uninterrupted communication with free Wi-Fi service and USB charging ports available on the metro.
About the Digital Inspection System Project;
In the second century of the Republic, Metro Istanbul focused on high technology and won a technology award for its Digital Inspection System Project, which records command management, daily, and weekly inspections in station controls. The project conducts inspections on equipment and assets associated with NFC points in station areas within daily and weekly periods. It performs performance audits of teams working in stations and generates performance reports. The project comprises a mobile system with an offline working capability, reporting, and a management panel without the need for internet connectivity. This initiative will benefit decision-making processes for the top management, 2600 employees, and 6 directorates within Metro Istanbul's operations.
