Jordan Delegation Visited Metro Istanbul

The delegation of 14 Jordanians visited Metro Istanbul and received information about public transportation systems from General Manager Ozgur Soy. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Affiliate Metro Istanbul is Turkey's largest urban rail system operator. Metro Istanbul hosted a delegation of 14 members from Jordanian National Parliament and Amman Municipality. The delegation, wanted to benefit from the expertise and experience of Metro Istanbul about the public transportation systems they intend to start in Amman. Company presentation is delivered to the delegation where they learned about the activities of the company.

General Manager of Metro Istanbul Ozgur Soy gave information to the delegation about the public transportation systems. The delegation consisted of the President of the National Assembly of Jordan, members of the Council of Amman, Head of the Delegation of the City and Villages Development Bank, Managing Director of the Public Transportation and Transportation Infrastructure, Director of the Public Transportation Operations, Local Committees Decision Supervisor and the Deputy Mayor of Amman Municipality along with the Director of the Personal Secretary.

“We have more than 30 years of experience…”

General Manager Ozgur Soy answered the questions by informing the delegation of Jordan about the company's domestic and international services emphasized the qualified and skilled technical staff of Metro Istanbul and said “We have one of the highest capacity unattended metro lines in the world and the second one is going to be operational in a short while. Our company has more than 30 years of experience, actively participating in many projects in the field of rail systems from design to research and development, and sharing its knowledge at many stages. ”

Lunch with the staff
General Manager Soy shared detailed data on operation, maintenance and repair, consultancy and other services after the presentation and he accompanied the delegation of Jordan to have lunch with the company staff at Metro Istanbul Esenler Compound. Delegation visited the workshop area and examined the maintenance and repair activities on site. Visitors thanked Metro Istanbul General Manager Ozgur Soy for his hospitality and the information he gave and invited him to Jordan.
